Hopefully you have already read my About page explaining the vision for small • batch • cards. Another part of the business will be creating custom invitations, cards, tags, etc. I have made quite a few invitations hosting parties for family and friends.
If you are planning an event or have a special announcement, let small • batch • cards help with your design. I will work with you to create a lovely set of invitations, announcements, cards, tags or whatever else you might have in mind. I’m happy to create something beautiful for you!
After small • batch • cards has designed your custom card, you may need to have your envelopes addressed by our master calligrapher, Jen Klink. Hand lettering is her specialty – think modern calligraphy! The envelope is the first glimpse to every card, invitation, event and announcement – why not make a fabulous first impression. Jen also makes some beautiful, tailor-made art pieces that make great gifts. See examples of her work here.

Here are a few examples of small • batch custom cards:
a Knight to remember
My beautiful sister-in-law asked me to create custom wedding invitations. She knew she wanted watercolor and a blush palette. I designed and painted these lovely invitations and RVSP cards, as well as the invitations to her bridal shower and a few thank you cards for her bridal party. She was over the moon for them and her wedding was beyond magical. I’m so glad our Kristen met such a wonderful and patient man to marry.
Mom-to-“Bee”
I created this invitation for a dear friend’s baby shower. It was a bee themed party and I created this invitation to create a little “buzz” about the event. Everyone was thrilled to get a hand made invitation in the mail and my friend felt extra special to have something designed exclusively for her (which was the point, of course)!
Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
Next, are a few pictures from my best friend’s bridal shower. I also made her invitations – it was an Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter’s themed tea party. She is quite the Mad Hatter! I heard from party goers again and again how much they enjoyed receiving the custom invitation in the mail. I also made special Alice in Wonderland boxes for decorations at the party.
Beauty & the Beard
I designed this announcement for my friend, Jessie. It was a Save the Date for her wedding. For this one, I had to bust out my graphic design skills on the computer. She wanted it to look like a movie poster. I used one of their beautiful engagement photos and continued to get her input throughout the process. Here is the finished product.
Let the Adventure Begin…
Most recently, I created my first commissioned invitations for a baby shower. The hostess and soon-to-be-mom requested an outdoors, adventure theme to match the baby’s nursery. I worked closely with the hostess to design an invitation that got her excited, and inspired her to decorate for the rest of the party. The original print was framed and given to the hostess to use as a gift for the new mother at the shower.
Whimsical Holiday
One last custom treat! This year I found the most whimsical and charming stamp set, and I just had to have it! My sister is a lover of unicorns and it has rubbed off on the entire family. So this year, I used this adorable stamp set to create custom gift tags for my holiday gifts. Isn’t it precious? The whole family was in love.
